Does anyone know when will be release a plugin for viewing pdf files (into an internal or external pdf viewer) in Google Chrome ?
By default Chrome uses plugins from the same directory as FFox. For pdf files specifically, there is a Chrome-only plugin at /opt/google/chrome/libpdf.so; the pdf is embedded and uses a context-menu for control. My experience with the plugin is limited, but it appears to work fine. If this plug-in is disabled, Chrome will call whichever program is associated with the pdf mime type; on my system that is Okular which is run externally and this method works well.
I was looking into this folder: /opt/google/chrome, but I don't see libpdf.so How you have installed this library ? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
