By default Chrome uses plugins from the same directory as FFox. For pdf files specifically, there is a Chrome-only plugin at /opt/google/chrome/libpdf.so; the pdf is embedded and uses a context-menu for control. My experience with the plugin is limited, but it appears to work fine. If this plug-in is disabled, Chrome will call whichever program is associated with the pdf mime type; on my system that is Okular which is run externally and this method works well. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I was looking into this folder: /opt/google/chrome, but I don't see libpdf.so How you have installed this library ? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It's in the Chrome package in the Google repository. I'm using: http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/rpm/stable/x86_64 although the following should also work: http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/x86_64 For 32-bit, substitute "i386" There are stable and unstable versions; I'm using unstable 6.0.472.0-53024 You can see all the plugins, similar to FFox, with: chrome://plugins (in the address bar). Click on the Details icon to see the file names/locations. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Doubtful. A couple of possibilities: Are you using the rpm from the repository, rather than direct download from the Google site? And are you using version 6, called "unstable" in the repo? With the package installed from the repo, you should be able to run YaST Software Management and search for libpdf.so (be sure to add that .so suffix), click on File List under Search In while clearing all other check boxes, and the search should return "google-chrome-unstable". Also, if your version doesn't have libpdf.so yet, Chrome should be calling the external viewer, which in your KDE3 is probably xpdf, kdegraphics3-pdf, or acroread. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
