Just by conservativism: unknown security and performance risks.
About security: run "btlaunchmany" as a separate user that has no write permissions on your disk - it can't destroy anything then. If unsure about RAM usage etc., use ulimit. About performance: in theory, requests of small parts of a file could cause higher I/O load.
