[04-12-18 20:58]: Sorry, somehow I got this message linked to another. Also, my distribution is OpenSUSELeap 4.3 as opposed to 4.2 referenced.
I have purchased a Canon Color imageCLASS MF733Cdw laser printer for my OpenSUSELeap 4.2 distribution.
1. Using YAST/hardware/printer/add, I get No connections, try 'Detect More' message. 2. A Canon MF731C/733C UFRII is found at the IP address I assigned. 3. Under 'Find and Assign a Driver' the message no matching driver found is presented.
At the Canon site I found a driver for linux linux-UFRII-drv-v350-usen.tar.gz
I could find nothing under opensuse search tool that matched.
If this is appropriate, how to I install the above tar file?
I hope this description is complete enough.
you might check and see if canon supplies drivers for that printer.
fwiw, I have found the best support for printers from hp, they supply

Thanks,
I looked at numerous HP printers listed on Amazon and could not find but 2 that also had an entry listed in Driver Packages. I do not know if the alternate setup for HP printers could associate drivers with some of these printers. Do you know what name they use if not the model number?
The model number for one on Amazon that was not included is "HP Color B5L25A#BGJ LaserJet Enterprise M553dn".
