Can you send an ifconfig of both machines?
This is over the box with no net connection (yet, i
hope):
ifconfig eth0 eth Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:10:5A:53:05:1D inet addr:192.168.1.3 Bcast:192.168.1.255
Mask:255.255.255.0

And this is over the gateway:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 40:01:00:00:22:D3 inet addr:194.165.253.43 Bcast:194.165.253.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:2553805 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:1 TX packets:2755266 errors:8 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:8 collisions:125551 txqueuelen:100 Interrupt:3 Base address:0x300
mmmm.... why would it be changing to IRQ3 in the second case. Do you have something else setting on IRQ 10. Also, did you only cut&paste the eth0 settings or did you not configure the loopback device (lo)? -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
