I am looking for tools that will send periodic connections out to specific services on a network, and when those services do not answer, a call will be put out to the correct resource to fix it. Maybe with a small log of info so they know where to start. I found tools for MS. But honestly, I don't want to spend the money for a license for an MS product and the product that the people are selling. Something like watchdog for linux? Anyone know of something like that? Thanks in advance.
