I forgot. The console fonts loaded are Latin 9, as indicated in /etc/rc.config as follows:
CONSOLE_FONT="lat9v-08.psfu.gz"

Asunto: [SLE] Euro symbol
: Hi.
:
: I have SuSE 7.2 with custom kernel. The lines in /usr/src/linux/.config for NLS are:
: CONFIG_NLS_DEFAULT="iso8859-15"
: CONFIG_NLS_ISO8859_15=y
: (Appears documented: NLS ISO 8859-15 (Latin 9; Western European Languages with Euro)).
:
: On /etc/rc.config I have:
: RC_LANG="es_ES@euro"
:
: In X.4, using KDE2, on KDE control center I have character map as ISO 8859-15.
:
: With all that I can't see or use the euro symbol:
: -Editing or 'cat' a file containing the euro symbol (0x80 on Latin 9) I never see it, on a text console or within X.
: -Displaying a HTML page which I know (using windoze) contains the euro symbol, I don't see it (Netscape 4.76).
: -I cannot introduce the euro symbol with the keyboard, using AltGr+E or using Alt and the numeric keyboard (1,2,8).
:
: What am I missing?
:
: TIA.
