10.3 was my least liked openSUSE release of all time, in part IIRC because zypper first made its appearance in 11.0.
zypper was in 10.3 too.
Turns out I was misremembering by two releases. Zypper first showed up in release notes of 10.2, but only made it to v0.8 by 10.3, IOW, it was still barely useful, no replacement for what came before the stillborn zmd of 10.1. I started using zypper around 11.0, but it didn't actually hit v1.0 until 11.1. Before that I was using Smart, which is likely why I misremembered the initial appearance date of zypper. :-p -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
