I have a standard (if there is such a thing) cyrus imapd/pop3d install working with postfix on SuSE 8.2 and I get the following message in the logs:
pop3d[#####]: unable to open Berkeley db /etc/sasldb2: No such file or directory
The email system is up and working but i work like to fix this . Does anyone have any idea what I am missing?
Thanks,
Robert
Robert - there are three packages / rpms that you need to install.. - cyrus-sasl -cyrus-sasl-devel -cyrus-sasl-gssapi Then create the sasldb in /etc, and add users / passwords. (in simple terms) Link below will help out a lot ( or search google for others) http://postfix.state-of-mind.de/patrick.koetter/smtpauth/sasldb_configuratio... also see the cyrus docs and /usr/share/doc/packages/cyrus-sasl/doc for more info.
