I have a standard (if there is such a thing) cyrus imapd/pop3d install working with postfix on SuSE 8.2 and I get the following message in the logs: pop3d[#####]: unable to open Berkeley db /etc/sasldb2: No such file or directory The email system is up and working but i work like to fix this . Robert - there are three packages / rpms that you need to install.. - cyrus-sasl -cyrus-sasl-devel -cyrus-sasl-gssapi Then create the sasldb in /etc, and add users / passwords. You are missing the Berkley database package, which I believe is on the 8.2 discs. You might have to reinstall the whole lot again, cyrus imap, pop3d and Bdb for SuSeconfig to set them correctly. Cheers Al
