ok I have justinstalled suse 9.1, I had 9.0 and it was fine. Some questions.
1. why does yast in 9.1 does not have any option for automatically start servers. on 9.0 there was an option which could be used to configure how you wanted the servers to start, I used to use that to start automatically mysql, zope, http etc, this yast does not have that option.
Yes it does.. Yast/ runlevel editor is where you want to go.
2. is there any public fto site that I can use in order to install new programs? I installed suse over the network (my private one), so now that I do not have the local server I can not install new packages. for that server, if exists, which would be the user name and passw? and the path? cheers.
ftp.suse.com or one of the numerous mirrors would be a good place to start. Anonymous logins usually work. -- Powered by SuSE 9.2 Kernel 2.6.8 KDE 3.3.0 Kmail 1.7.1 For Mondo/Mindi backup support go to http://www.mikenjane.net/~mike 6:44pm up 8 days 10:48, 5 users, load average: 2.21, 2.75, 3.14
