I have a TDK MP3 player now and I am trying to figure out how to mount this on my all SCSI system. Since the usual device map is /dev/sda1 and this device is already used by one of my SCSI disks, what is the best way to figure out this ?
The driver will use the next unallocated SCSI device. After you plug the player in, wait a short moment and then do a "cat /proc/scsi/scsi". Your player should show up in the list as a "direct-access" device. Count down from the top, starting from 'a', skipping any non-direct-access devices, then you will be able to tell which device it is. E.g., if your player is the third direct-access device, then it will be /dev/sdc.
