Thanks,
I looked at numerous HP printers listed on Amazon and could not find but 2 that also had an entry listed in Driver Packages. I do not know if the alternate setup for HP printers could associate drivers with some of these printers. Do you know what name they use if not the model number? The model number for one on Amazon that was not included is "HP Color B5L25A#BGJ LaserJet Enterprise M553dn".
Google "list of printers supported by linux" First hit: http://www.openprinting.org/printers from there, all HP printers: http://www.openprinting.org/printers/manufacturer/HP The string "M553dn" is not found. Nor B5L25A. Googling the model, I find an HP shop site that mentions Novell and suse enterprise support. The site is in Spanish, though (I live in Spain, so I get google hits for Spain): SO móvil (controladores en el OS): iOS, Android, Windows 8/8.1/10 RT Linux OS (In-OS HPLIP): SUSE Linux (12.2, 12.3, 13.1), Fedora (17, 18, 19, 20), Linux Mint (13, 14, 15, 16, 17), Boss (3.0, 5.0), Ubuntu (10.04, 11.10, 12.04, 12.10, 13.04, 13.10, 14.04, 14.10), Debian (6.0.x, 7.x) Otro sistema operativo: UNIX http://store.hp.com/SpainStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=B5L25A&opt=B19&sel=PRN Probably it is supported by hplip. Most HP printers are (not all). It is a monster printer not suitable for homes, though. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
