I keep getting a segmentation fault on one of my SuSE 6.3 machines. Is this because of bad memory, hard drive, or something else? Any thoughts on how I would go about testing? I have tried THREE different hard drives, thou.
Could be bad RAM. Does it segfault with a particular program, or just randomly? To test your RAM you should try Memtest86: http://reality.sgi.com/cbrady_denver/memtest86/ Hope that helps, Chris -- Apologies to everyone who has been waiting for replies off me over the past few weeks - I've been away from my computer.
