* Eric Pierce (eric_suse@yahoo.com) [020313 16:04]:
I can use zmodem and/or kermit (not ftp though). The problem I have is when I run kermit, it's trying to go through my modem.
Sure.
It's a 'winmodem' nonetheless, but that doesn't matter because I'm plopping my presence onto the internet via my network card.
So my question now is how do I configure kermit (or zmodem - i.e., rz & sz) to go through the network?
You don't (I don't even think it's possible...is ethernet 8-bit clean?). If you can't use ftp for some reason use scp, rsync, tar over ssh, mail, even netcat. -- -ckm
