Wow, I don't like any of those. What's wrong with openSLE ?
SLE is the common prefix for SLES, SLED, SLERT, and SLEPOS. It stands for "SUSE Linux Enterprise". (... Server, ... Desktop, ... Real-Time, ... Point of Sale)
openSUSE Linux Enterprise ____ (where the blank is whatever you want to use it for) shortens nicely to openSLE.
Orignally, I wanted openSLE or openSLES. The problem comes with
Trademarks. I think the naming of CentOS reflects the issues with
choosing something. I want to avoid problems that could/would appear if
we used the name. Emails I have had from various places have shown that
we need a new name for the initiative. Hence this naming. I is naming of
the group and or product. I would really love something that indirectly
references SUSE. We want to have the same quality as SUSE and Novell with
Netware and NDS.
