I don't have very my VPN experience, however, I was able set one up. I live by the KISS system, and prefer appliances instead of software solutions... So for the VPN I set up, instead of using anything software, especially M$, like PPTP, I bought to VPN capable linksys routers, were about $100 each I think and simply created a tunnel between them. You need to mention what software your corporate is using, Then most probably go look on thier website...
Most VPN software is proprietary, both the CLient and the Server need to be from the same company. It might be using an open standard though, you never know...
