Sorry to ask this I will probably get flamed for it. but.
I have used KDE for a long time. I rarely use Gnome, mainly because I don't know how, but I was wondering what you would advise me to use. I like KDE, but I am getting into .NET development and from what I understand the GTK# library is much much further along than the QT# library. And just for general use what would you suggest?
You can perfectly use GTK# and develop for .NET under KDE since any GTK program works in KDE too. The integration won't be as good as if it were QT# but using GTK-QT would reduce the difference (it's activated by default in Suse.) You might also use Crystal icons to get some more integration, at least in the look. I personally use KDE and I think it's much better than Gnome but as other suggest, it's a matter of personal taste. The best thing for someone might not always be the best thing for another one. BTW, I develop with KDevelop and C++ with KDE/QT. -- Víctor Fernández Martínez Gabinete de prensa de PoLinux [www.polinux.upv.es]. Usuario de Linux registrado #312284 en http://counter.li.org.
