Thanks for the URL and the fast response. It turns out that I had the kernel-default-nongpl installed all along. My problem appears to have been my spelling ability as I spelled "kernel" as "kernal". (sheepish grin) I still have a problem with my wireless LAN card but I'll have to look in a different direction. -- Donald D.
