* Rachel Greenham (rachel@linuxgrrls.org) [020408 02:37]: :: ::It can be fine for ages, (and when it is fine, it is faster in KDE3 than ::before) then suddenly it starts going slow. Then a while later it ::*sometimes* goes back to normal speed. :: ::It's not doing DNS lookups or something mad like that I wonder? I've noticed that under KDE3 that one of the kdeinit child processes will just boink out and shoot CPU usage and swap through the roof. I just do a kill -HUP <pid> and everything goes back to normal. Don't ask me why..because I don't honestly know...but it works. It's a .0 release and not even a SuSE tweaked release..so I don't bitch. I'm rather fond of 3.0..for it's speed and eye candy ;) Other then that I still just use Mozilla and a hell of a lot of Xterms. -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- "I've never been quarantined.
