I don't mind top posts at all, because the subject is enough to give me context. The answer is what I want, and quickly. A small snippet of the previous thread, just enough to give context, is optimal, and I don't care too much if it's above or below the answer. What I don't like is having to wade down through the tedious history of a huge series of postings (all of which I've read several times before) just to see a one-line answer buried at the very bottom.
