Every time after a reboot I have to readjust the master volume from 0. I have looked if this feature is somewhere configured but did not find anything which could be of help. Could somebody be of assistance?
Constant,
Sometimes this issue come from deeper than application.
Please, go via YaST->Hardware->Sound-> You will find your Sound Device probably highlighted (if not make it), move your pointer down to the right corner on the Option button. Make a click on it and it will show the Volume option. Make a click on Volume option, this will open a window showing Master Volume and PCMB. There, on Master Volume, check the right volume is higher enough by sliding it to the top right. Close it and your problems could go away. Logout and Login. If the problem is solved please send a mail adding SOLVED.
I have the same problem in one of my machines (the others are fine). Only it's not just at reboot, but every time I logout and login, the volume of Front in YaST->Hardware->Sound->Other->Volume is set back to zero. And this particular volume cannot be controlled by KMix, only in YaST. It drives me nuts. -- Carlos F Lange -- Recursive: Adj.
