I just plug it in and forget about it. No need to configure in YaST at all. In fact you will disable all sound if you try. You may need to unplug and plug in after you have logged into KDE, don't know about Gnome.
One more thing I just remembered -DO NOT- use a non powered USB hub or you will have lots of problems. Either plug directly into a usb port or use a powered hub.
Thanks Ken, pluging in after KDE startup have done the trick. But now ... I still can not see the card in yast, and I do not have volume control and mixer. So how do I enable the volume control and the mixer?
You won't see it in YaST as you don't configure it with YaST. It gets setup through hot-plug. Start kmix after you have it plugged in. You will need to show the mixer window in order to adjust the limited controls available. PLEASE do not reply to me -and- the list I get a copy from the list and don't need two copies of your reply. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989 SuSE since 1998 * Only reply to the list please*
