Yes, you have. If the remote answered with a bash prompt, then you need to
run there:
sz somefile
and your local minicom will catch it.
I think - I have never used this, its new to me.
If that doesn't work, then try the uuencode trick:
uuencode file filename
this produces an ascii text that you can capture locally and convert to
the binary file again by using uudecode.
Try decoding this:
