Yes, well, totally off topic of course, but I am proud to say that one of my most prized posessions is the K & E slide rule I inherited from my father when he passed on. Can't do more than multiply and divide with it, but never mind. Is it possible to do hex math on a slide rule?

I had a computer teacher who would do square roots in base 7 during those union meetings his friend would use a slide rule without markings. Seems he was old style Phi Beta Kapa. CWSIV
