Ahemmm ... 4x longer?
what did you use to measure it?
----------------------- I counted 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, etc. while the file is opening and it takes Linux much longer. win took about 1-2 secs to open a text file, linux takes 4-8 secs to open a similar file. the same is true for the start menu in linux, opening file manager, everything. It is not like i am comparing a Win box with 2 gHz to a Linux box with 200 mHz. I had win installed, i reformatted the HD, ADDED 128 ram, and installed SuSE 8.2 pro. and now everything runs slower. Does anybody know how i can squeeze more out of what i have got? thx scott FadMart - http://www.fadmart.com - An Associate of the World's Largest Store!
