Can't log in any more to Bugzilla

I last successfully logged in to https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/ on 2021-03-16. Today 04-20, I could not authenticate. It looks like there is a new authentication infrastructure (whose name I didn't copy down). I went through the "reset password" procedure twice, and finally got on once, but once again I'm unable to get on. The login page shows an error message, "Bugzilla requires a valid user name and password". This month I've installed a password manager, Bitwarden. When appropriately clicked on, it will insert the user ID and password in the login form, which it "successfully" did with all three passwords (original and two new ones). But whatever it inserted, was not acceptable to the auth system. For the new passwords I generated new 16 byte random ones, and saved them in a file, and pasted them onto the password change form, and then the Bugzilla login form (after Bitwarden's rendition was rejected). These also were rejected. The one time I got on, I was very low tech: I typed everything letter by letter. But 3 hours later I could not repeat that performance (with the same password, the second new one). (I tried several times.) So I signed up with the mailing list system, which uses a different infrastructure including a choice of Identity Providers; I used the OpenSuSE one. Actually I gave it my latest Bugzilla credentials, but it wanted to sign me up with a new identity. Apparently the Bugzilla provider shares identity info with it; it knew my e-mail address without being told, but it did not re-use my user ID, which combines my normal loginID and my work site name, so is very likely to be unique. Does anyone have any idea what's going on, and how I can authenticate to Bugzilla? I'm thinking that the login form has been updated with Javascript provided by the new outsourced Identity Provider, that can distinguish keystroke input from program-generated text and which rejects the latter as a defense against bots. While bot defense is not bad, you get a whole lot better defense if you encourage the users to use a password manager with long random passwords. -- James F. No KB in Plasma (X11) after TW update

Hi all, I've just updated my TW installation (first update for 3-4 weeks, so included full glibc update) and after rebooting I have no KB in Qt applications under Plasma (X11). Non-qt applications are working ok (e.g. Thunderbird, Firefox, xterm) but no qt apps (i.e. no native KDE apps) are accepting keyboard input. I'm using nvidia drivers (installed "the hard way") with dkms. I've tried installing the 2 latest driver versions (465.24.02 and 460.73.01) as well as the version I was previously running (460.73) - no difference. I've tried rebooting to the kernel version I was previously running (5.11.6-1-default) and the latest (5.11.15-1-default) - no difference there either. Qt applications do work using a "Full Wayland" plasma session, but my desktop is borked using that and I cannot change the second monitor from "Folder View" to "Desktop View", no matter what I do ("Some settings are locked by the system administrator", which is weird). They don't work under Plasma Wayland (X11) or Plasma (X11). This would seem perhaps to point to an issue between X11 and KDE/Plasma, but not sure. Any hints/pointers? GRUB2 error at 98% of openSUSE Tumbleweed installation.

Hi, I am installaling openSUSE Tumbleweed on my laptop computer. The live usb starts up fine now with the "nomodeset" flag. The problem I am having is at 98% of installation completed I get a warning concerning GRUB2 (Installing grub2 to device failed-/usr/sbin/grub2-install: Decompressor is to big). Hos to install fonts into LibreOffice without adding them to the system

Seems there are differing ideas for Ubuntu but this is Leap 15.2 updated routinely. one idea is /home/<user>/.local/share/fonts the other is /usr/share/fonts though I do not have a fonts directory here presently. Some mention of fc-cache -fv. I have about 3k fonts and no desire to slow down the system by installing them in the system especially the speciality fonts for holidays etc which will only ever be used in OpenOffice on the older systems and LibreOffice on the Leap system. SuSE Leap 15.2 problem: Some videos and moving gifs are not displayed on Twitter on Firefox, Chrome, Opera

Hello, if moving gifs are not working anymore on Twitter for all browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Opera) are there some missing libraries on a new installed leap 15.2 ? Previously these were working on SuSE tumbleweed but the tumbleweed version from January 2021 did not find my software raid and crashed my installation completely, that is why I switched to Leap 15.2 . It is very strange that these gifs are working on https://giphy.com/ but it is not working here: https://twitter.com/PMaff2/status/1383877611844038662?s=20 The same tweet is working in firefox on Ubuntu perfectly. I read several pages, also suggesting switching off security.csp.enable in firefox, but since this also is not working on opera and chrome I do think there is some library missing in Leap 15.2 . Any help? Do I have to switch to Packman? BR & thanks in advance Pete

terminal screen saver

Hello, I have a server at home with no X at all (no need). but it's an old laptop, so with screen attached and the screen keep on all the time. In my memories I remember having a screen saver even in the time where my computer was too short for X to works, but don't find it. any way to blank the screen or protect it from burning? thanks jdd -- http://dodin.org
