[opensuse] XFCE and "hourglass" cursor

Hi, I recently installed OS12.3 with XFCE on my wife's netbook. The only complaint so far is that there seems to be no "hourglass" cursor when clicking an application. So there is no feedback whether the application is really started. I searched, but I can't find if this is configurable. So is this configurable ? FWIW, I did a full install, but the home-partition was kept. The old install was the netbook-edition of Ubuntu 10.04. [opensuse] Next Evergreen version

Hi all, Do we know which will be the next Evergreen (LTS) openSUSE version? 12.2 or 12.3? I want to install 12.2 on a laptop with a legacy Radeon card, and since 12.2 works with the proprietary AMD Catalyst Legacy driver ( http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/linux/legacy/Pages/legacy-radeon_linu…), if 12.2 becomes the next Evergreen version, it will be good news to me. But I can't install 12.2 as long term, if I do not know it. Is this a bug, or a setting I missed? Anybody coming by could post such a signed message in my name. I'm using a master password, of course, but it seems that it never expires since session start many days ago. It is acceptable for not needing to get mail from my providers, but not for signing emails, because such emails have legal value in my country. [opensuse] sendmail as non-root user

Trying to setup a couple of scripts, which part of the results are to send an email as a non-root user. Have setup postfix, and as root (sudo sendmail.....) can send a basic email through my ISPs mail server successfully. If I try and send as a non-root user, get: "Absolute path to 'sendmail' is '/usr/sbin/sendmail', so running it may require superuser privileges (eg. root)." How can I (safely and securely, without opening up anything undesirable), set this up so a standard user can send? [opensuse] Using # with F2

For many years, I have pressed F2 to run stuff such as man, by entering #<command> in the pop up box. For some reason, this has now broken. When I do that, Seamonkey opens, which does not know how to handle those commands, instead of Konqueror. Firefox is set as the default browser. Any idea on how I can get this to work properly again?
