Hello fellow testers,
according to http://en.opensuse.org/Roadmap , RC1 is going to be released in 4 days. My automated install tests showed all 4 main install-methods (DVD,NET,KDE,GNOME) working on both 32 and 64 bit... but only on hardware emulated by KVM. Also application tests were rather limited.
So if you have a spare partition or computer, you could try to install any of the current (Build0669+) isos and report major bugs ASAP via http://bugs.opensuse.org to ensure a smooth experience for the less technical RC1 testers.
You can get isos from http://download.opensuse.org/factory/iso/
Well, I wasn't able to install any of two i586 M7 iso Build 0625 available at http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.3-Milestone7/iso/ 1) Trying to install the i586 DVD with Gnome desktop, caused after disk image Gnome [1] a YaST2 wrong checksum error 2) Trying to install the i586 NET iso, caused a Welcome warning that YaST was unable to find the correct control file, therefore using a fall-back one. Thereafter error cannot read license file. However, the shortly later available Factory NET iso Build0657 installed fine on the same computer. Therefore I expected the errors on the Build 0625 iso were found and fixed, and I didn't file any bug report here. On the other hand I have two other bug reports for 11.3 that I'm not satisfied with the interest in or activity to solve Bug 590960 - SDHC freeze Bug 593871 - CDMA not working Rgds, Terje J.
