Hi Mathias, I understand your frustration but there is no need to get into scatological vocabulary to show it... I use kmail2 without major issues... However if you have a complicated setup with many personalised things I expect the migration tool to be problematic (based on previous experiences with migration tools). What I can advise is to try to start with a clean setup for your kmail2 and I am sure a much better experience would be the end... regards, Alin On Thu 28 Jul 2011 19:23:18 Mathias Homann wrote:
Don't they test this stuff anymore?
I've upgraded to KDE 4.7 from OBS. I've sat through 25 minutes of idunnowhat, akonadi/kmail "ressource migration".
the result:
kmail2 takes several minutes to start up, does not fetch mail from my imap accounts, and can't even delete a mail from the one folder that *does* show new mails.
Yeee-haw, rollback time. -- Without Questions there are no Answers!
