Application Question

I have a question about an application. I am needing to use my SuSe linux workstation running KDE to connect to a Windows Xp System to do some work. I am needing the name of an application that I should try. Something like PC Anywhere or something like that. Any Ideas? -- Daniel J. Rychlik Java/Perl Developer

hello i use SuSE 8.1 my xserver restars unexpectedly!!! i looked the log files and i found this messages in the kdm.log (II) [GLX]: Calling GlxExtensionInit QPixmap::convertToImage: Cannot convert a null pixmap QPixmap::convertToImage: Cannot convert a null pixmap Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. Server aborting When reporting a problem related to a server crash, please send the full server output, not just the last messages. This can be found in the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log". Please report problems to feedback(a)suse.de. Konqueror causes much CPU load while copying

Hi, using Konqueror for copying files, CPU load and transfer rate is much higher than copying in the shell. The difference is considerable, like ~30% towards ~10% on a Duron 950. Even when copying from network with only 1 MB/s via FTP. Maybe it's the transfer progress dialog. I updated my kde thru apt-get so now I work sometime with the handsome kde3 ... can I bluntly delete the older kde/kde2 maps or am I working myself into deep truobles by doing that? piet

Double set of linking icons under "Parts" in KOffice Workspace

Hi all When I open the KOffice Workspace the vertical sidebar displays two of everyicon. Two KPresenter two Kontour etc...all the way down to Kivio. All the icon links work. In konqueror submenu "open with.." is it the same every link is double. Seltsame Meldung beim Keramik theme

Hi, ich hab hier 2 User auf dem Rechner. Bei dem einen klappts mit der Transparenz im Keramik theme, bei dem andern kommt statt dessen die Meldung dass der XServer keine Transparenz unterstützen würde... Ideen? Configuration not saved

Hello to everybody. In my Suse 8.0 & Kde 3.0.5 I setup in Control Center the Scanner (Epson) and I select the right driver (Usb + Generic / Epson + Iscan) and I save. The scanner works perfectly but when I reset PC, it doesn't keep the configuration, I have to install USB Scanner each time I switch on the PC. How can I resolve it ? Thks & brgds Miguel
