$ pulseaudio -D
after this, on a GNOME desktop, all sound apps should work
Sound is working on shell with mpg123 without runnig X-Server/KDE So it s a problem of kde. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
I agree with you. My sound disappeared with RC1. Works on 10.3 (Dual boot with 11.0RC1). Also works from Amarok but not from kmail, konquorer, etc. I have KDE3.5.9 installed. I'm send this from 10.3 and sound works fine.
we added a "fix" to alsa for RC1 to force alsa apps to go through pulseaudio, and that broke KDE. A fix is already accepted and prepared for RC2/GM Thanks. I assume that the fix will show up in Factory or somewhere soon. -- Russ Registered Linux user #441463
