ok, I dl'd the video and took a snapshot on my desktop, http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/vlc.text.jpg
colours look fine to me :^)
Error 404 but I'll take your word :)
My factory has vlc 1.0.1-2.17, this is screwed up
vlc-1.0.1-2.17 here
My 11.0 has vlc 1.0.1-2.2 this works fine There's 1.0.1.-2.3 available for 11.0 but I don't think I dare to upgrade,
I do not have an install < 11.2 to test...
Since you have it working I'll blame VMWare. OTOH Mplayer works fine and this problem is only in this particular vm. I'll try on real hardware in a few days...
I've seen all kinds of strange stuff during time with different versions of vlc, both with packman and videolan versions. Windows ones have always worked, not that I would have gained much experience though.
one warning I remember from sometime ago and may not still be applicable, "must not mix versions/libraries from vlc and packman".
That I know to be potential problem.
This colour skew thingy is new...
I find nothing wrong with my vlc from command-line or firefox, even using it to view jpg's.
What version is that?
vlc-1.0.1-2.17 x86_64
It's just this particular combination then. Vahis -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
