That's good news, especially if ATi drivers can be delivered in the same way as the nVidia drivers currently are (i.e. autoscript from YOU)! I love SUSE with my nVidia machines, run YOU during install and everything is up and working. With ATi it is a nightmare, tried installing the beta on my laptop and the ATi's driver installer barfed somewhere along the line :-(
For 10.1 we will make a minor change regarding Nvidia due to the updated package manager: During installation there's only an automatic update of important packages. So, the optional Nvidia patch can only get downloaded from the Nvidia side after installation. Note that the new packagemanager does not support this in Beta4, we're working on it...
