Sorry, but they are not in the main openSUSE repos anymore and k3b works just as well with as without them and that's what the original question was about. I know I can still find them in multimedia:apps if I need
This is not true and if you look at the k3b mailing lists, you will see that k3b recommends to use the original software in order to avoid the well known nasty bugs. If cdrtools is not in the main repo, you would need to ask Suse people as they promised to put cdrtools into the main repo in 2009 already. Also note that "cdrkit" is dead since May 2007.
