I think openSUSE Tumbleweed or Leap can contain many more packages than SLE, even "exotic" packages for "exotic" use cases - provided there is someone who actively maintains such packages. Usually someone who actively uses such a package should then also maintain it. When e.g. Per Jessen who still actively uses lilo would maintain lilo for openSUSE, would it then be possible to keep lilo in openSUSE regardless that lilo is outdated?
