I can tell you right now that its a *stupid* amount of money. We have a ton of 133s that need going, and some modest celery 400's that just need some ram throwing in. There are other more powerful units, but we are on RM 2.4 currently. To upgrade to 3.0 we would have to *replace* the 400's as well as RM do not count them good enough for their fat client setup. A stupid cost to say the least! Also all our servers would need slinging and replacing with some rather expensive ones. Fortunately management saw the light, and we have since gone with this other company for a pure 2000 network, with the 133's as a terminal clients, the 400s with a lump of ram added, and a couple new servers to power those terminals & a snap server for 500gbs of a pure storage ^_^ Alot cheaper to say the least, and we can get those 133s done later when Above has the groats! ;) --- ianwrote: > On Mon, 2003-05-12 at 20:13, Gareth Edmondson wrote: > > Hi Chris, > > > > > First, my condolences to yourself and your ysgol > on the RM situation. > > Not sure why Chris.
