[opensuse-buildservice] [Patch][RFC] armv7hl scheduler support

Hi ! This is the first in a series of patches to add an armv7hl scheduler to obs. The need for this comes through the switch to hardfloat ABI. Thus armv7(e)l is incompatible with armv7hl. Introducing armv7hl (which has the same name for rpm, btw) and the subarch armv7nhl built in the same scheduler. Other components are wip. Best, Jan-Simon

Hi, I've been trying to create a snapshot repository for a project in a local build service instance. When I run the following command: $ cd /usr/lib/obs/server $ sudo ./bs_admin --clone-repository Foo standard snapshot Destination repo must get created by scheduler first! I later edited the project's meta data and defined a snapshot repository *exactly* as used in openSUSE:Factory in OBS: $ osc meta prj Foo <project name="Foo"> ... <build> <disable/> <enable repository="standard"/> <disable repository="snapshot"/> </build> <publish> <enable repository="images"/> <disable/> <disable repository="snapshot"/> </publish> <repository name="images"> <arch>local</arch> <arch>i586</arch> <arch>x86_64</arch> </repository> <repository name="snapshot"> <arch>x86_64</arch> <arch>i586</arch> </repository> <repository name="standard"> <path project="SUSE:SLE-11-SP1" repository="standard"/> <arch>i586</arch> <arch>x86_64</arch> </repository> </project> After making this change, schedulers kept saying the following in the logs: 2011-01-24 00:22:21: looking at low prio Foo/snapshot (0/0/56/0/298) - Foo/snapshot: bad config (Foo) and the "snapshot" repository was never created inside /srv/obs/build/Foo/ - where bs_admin looks for the source and destination repositories. What am I doing wrong? If I have to include a "<path ../>" entry for snapshot, then how is working in OBS for openSUSE:Factory? How do I create a "snapshot" of an existing repository? after multiple people asked for OBS books and were willing to join in writing them we set up the necessary infrastructure for writing them. Please read the announcement here: http://news.opensuse.org/2011/01/18/obs-books-project/ The goals of these books are described as follows atmn and are open for discussion here: This book is part of the official openSUSE Build Server documentation. These books are considered to be reviewed and edited to be the reference documentation of OBS. These books are not considered to be focused on a special OBS version. They are also not a replacment of the documentation inside of the openSUSE wiki. But content from the wiki may get consolidated and included in these books. Furthermore these books get written by the OBS community, please check the chapter how to work on these books. We request esp. experienced users and administrators to join and to contribute to these books. It is not required to be a very good or even native english speaker, because we built on community editors to improve the language. My personal plan is to write on the history and general architecture chapters in next weeks. Please speak up here if you want to write also some parts. Everything is welcomed atm. And if something is incorrect (technical or language) we will peer review it and fix it as second step. Also other projects using OBS are welcomed to host their site specific documentation in our svn. In that way we can work together on one book suitable for everybodys instance hopefully. [opensuse-buildservice] %{buildroot} not expanded in SLES10 and SLES11

Hello, I'm trying to make a rpm file and the macro %{buildroot} doesn't expand. I used the eval parameter on the rpm command like this: rpm --define "_topdir %{_tmppath}/libmylib" --eval %{buildroot} And I get in response only %{buildroot} On my spec file, the BuildRoot is set to %{_tmppath}/%{name}-%{version}-%{release} I use this same command on others distros, like mandriva, and I get the macro expanded. [opensuse-buildservice] How can I retreive the text version of a build log using a bash script ?

Hello, Is there a way to remotly get the build log in text format without logging on, using a bash script ? I tried the following but it looked like html output not text log="https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log?arch=x86_64&package=libre…" wget -c $log How can I retreive the text version of it using a bash script ? [opensuse-buildservice] OBS 2.2 got deployed on api.opensuse.org

After the last unsuccessfull tries it looks like have catched all performance problems finally. So api.opensuse.org is running OBS 2.2 (not yet released) now. The only remaining regression, I am aware of atm is that osc build with -- local-package option is not working. I will look into that in next minutes. Another big difference is now the behaviour of submit and devel change requests were you have no maintainer permissions in the source. In the past you were simply not allowed to create such a request. OBS 2.2 is allowing to create such an request, but adds the maintainer of the source package as reviewer of the request. This means concrete, when you see something, either a new package or and updated package, which should go to another project like openSUSE:Factory, you can ask now to submit it via such a request. But the original maintainer still can accept or decline this request. I hope this fullfills the discussed needs which got formely discussed. Unfortunatly, neither osc nor the webui can handle these reviews nicely yet. We will work on this these days as well.
