[Bug 1001553] New: Empathy is taking too long to open chat windows
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1001553 Bug ID: 1001553 Summary: Empathy is taking too long to open chat windows Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: ronisbr@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hi guys! I updated Tumbleweed to GNOME 3.22 and now empathy is taking too long to open a chat window. It takes almost 20s between clicking in the contact name and opening the chat window. In my tests, it is happening with every protocol I tried, even IRC. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open empathy. 2. Log into some account. 3. Open a chat window. 4. The chat window should be opened very fast, but, however, it takes a long time to open. I could reproduce this bug in two different Tumbleweed machines. Hence, it should not be a configuration problem. I looked into the logs, but I could not find anything useful. I'm trying to open a bug in upstream, but empathy is not listed. Can anyone help me?

Now, they are straight forward to backport to GNOME 3.22 (Current Tumbleweed) - but a bit less straight forward for GNOME 3.20 (Leap 42.2)
Hmm.. I'm not even sure this bug is applicable to Leap - or if there is anything to be done; somebody willing to test this? Otherwise we can actually close it: the fix is pending review/acceptance into GNOME:Factory 436423 State:new By:Zaitor When:2016-10-19T17:26:48 submit: GNOME:Next/polari@75 -> GNOME:Factory Review by Group is accepted: gnome-maintainers(Zaitor) Descr: This fixes the emapthy for Tumbleweed at least - for 42.2 it will take a bit more, as the patches do not cleanly apply on 3.20.x Comment: Ok -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
