http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=537064 Summary: YaST wipes volume label after choosing the wrong partition for the new system Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 6 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: f.de.kruijf@hetnet.nl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.3; Linux) KHTML/4.3.1 (like Gecko) SUSE During installation YaST proposes an already existing partition to be used as the root for the new installation. In the old system this partition is mounted by volume name. I want to use another partition for the new root, so I have to change this partition by changing that it should not be mounted or should be mounted in a sub directory. However the volume name is no longer present and is wiped, so a workaround is to specify it to be mounted and then restore the volume name. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: However this volume name should not be touched unless it really is used as the new root partition. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
