I tried noacpi and all the other options also firmware test and memory test, I
have had this problem since the beginning of May when I got the mb.
XP, although it had no driver for the nic (thats why I had to use the 8139 pci
card to update my bios ) always showed rev 02 in the pci string and AFAIK XP
reads this information from bios only.
My nic still has the same irq 220, assigned by linux, as it was before I banned
irq 11 in the bios.
Is there an option for PCI access mode that can be used at boot? that is an
easy way of finding out if the bios is at fault.
