https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=399661 Summary: openSUSE updater only installs patches, no upgrades Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 1 Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Maintenance AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: henning.schnoor@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer When selecting "Show available upgrades" in the configuration of the openSUSEupdater tool, available upgrades are shown (more than 800 for a freshly installed openSUSE 11.0 RC1), but when selecting them all and clicking "install", only the root password is asked, install does not happen. When patches are selected at the same time, the patches are not installed either. Without checking this box, updater works as expected (installing patches). I ran into this problem on a openSUSE 11.0 RC1 installed on an old IBM ThinkPad, and was able to reproduce it on an openSUSE 11.0 RC1 installed into a VMWARE virtual machine. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
