Thanks a lot for all the work, Benjamin. Getting the BIOS device <-> detected
device mapping wrong is one of common problems we currently suffer on x86/86
archs. This seems to be getting worse with SATA, USB, hotplugging and all.
The problem is basically caused by the severely limited x86 BIOS (only 512byte
for initial boot-strapping combined with no stable device mapping) but we
definitely need improvement in the area.
I'll leave this bug to Olaf and Steffen. Benjamin, please post
/var/log/boot.msg to bug 229260. Thanks.
