http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=621503 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=621503#c0 Summary: HPLIP wrong version for HP Laserjet F4580 in wifi configuration. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: RC 2 Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: m.j.thate@tele2.nl QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; nl; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100611 SUSE/3.6.4-3.2 Firefox/3.6.4 Installing my HP Laserjet F4580 printer in wifi configuration is not yet possible with HPLIP. I think this is caused by the old HPLIP version of 3.10.2-1.10 in openSUSE 11.3. The newest version is 3.10.5 But when I tried this HPLIP misses (omongst others I think): gcc, make, python-devel, cups-devel, and libusb. I found all the right files but not for libusb so there stops my HPLIP story. I suppose this will be solved after the definite 11.3 has been released. Please arrange it with hplipopensource.com the same way UBUNTU does. The missing files are downloaded automatically after activation of the right HPLIP version.
