https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=417289 Summary: Screen updates very slow in KDE3 using Xgl Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE3 AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: w.v.velzen@sercom.nl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User After last weeks (2008-W32) updates my default desktop became very slow. A Midnight Commander window in konsole for instance would build up pixel by pixel. Switching to KDE4 made the specific Midnight Commander problem disappear, but screen updates still seem slower than they should be. Draging around a window is "ugly": you see lots of "echo's" of the window in previous positions. Also switching from Xgl to Xorg as DISPLAYMANAGER_XSERVER, under KDE3 has the same effect as above. My graphics chipset is Intel 945G. And yes, I installed both the update and the fix for Intel ... when they were released last week. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
