https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=335105 Summary: During startup of a XEN enabled system some services fail with segfault Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Xen AssignedTo: cgriffin@novell.com ReportedBy: franz.fleischmann@landshut.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=179372) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=179372) boot.msg from my notebook After the Update from OpenSuSE 10.2 to 10.3 some services die during systemstartup with a segfault. In some cases the system is unusable because if hald fails the network setup fails to. I had tested this with two systems, with my notebook and a Xen-Server in my company. The first service that crashes with my notebook is /etc/init.d/boot.ldconfig. On the Xen-Server many services crash with "Inconsistency detected by ld.so: rtld.c: 1204: dl_main: Assertion `_rtld_local._dl_rtld_map.l_libname' failed!" I checked the directory /lib and /usr/lib, all libraries are updated and from OpenSuSE 10.3 I found some other bugs which could be the same problem (Bug 329709 and Bug 334919), but i don't know. The attachments are the boot.msg-files from both systems -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
