Just what I found out.
I installed oa on a machine with readeonhd. And the same happened with old
mesa/drm/X when I was updating. I.e. either peak I/O or CPU load caused that.
It looks like sometimes the back buffer was switched to front, but still with
the old frame. It happened mainly when shooting (i.e. more effects, flames,
more computing).
I also noted on the intel machine, that it happens only sometimes. I disabled
most FX and FPS peaks above 100 (I see sometimes the 1 in place of hundreds),
but is mostly around 40 at the beginning for a minute or so and then drops to
20 and often gets to 10, the image freezes sometimes. I will attach a file with
load triple during gameplay.
