The first question which comes to mind is
What is wrong with the default that we need to functionally offer so many ways
of booting a PC.
I think the task ahead of us all is to create and improve the default boot and
in doing so start to remove boot options 1 by 1 from the vast list that appears
to get bigger not smaller.
This involves changes to the Default Kernel and boot Loader and depend and
modules. We have got to busy in fragmenting it rather than the other way
around.
I think we need a larger forum in this respect.
We need to appreciate how technical excellence has nothing to do with user
acceptance and we have held on to the old school tie of Keeping Linux only for
the high technical mind and creating a Club of members who need to sign their
email and ideas with their club badge number.
