I fully agree that the 'floppy' option is pointless. And the usefulness of 'failsafe' is IMO at least questionable. The problem with the above proposal (to put options into separate menu) is, that it does not work if you turn off the graphical boot menu. Personally I have difficulties in explaining the difference between Rescue and Repair. Logically I have problems with the whole of the above. Bug #419464 is restricted and its reference is not helpful. I think the Boot from CD requires a most deliberate course of logic between many people and if this is difficult or delicate then all the more reason for change. 1. QA - Could you please change the title of this bug to be Rationalization of Boot from CD Menu 2.
