I can confirm that this happens if you install Tomboy in a fresh openSUSE 11.2
KDE.
I'm not sure how the distribution guys do their bugs, but since there's no loss
of data or crashing, I would expect this to be downgraded to Major, or even
Normal since you can work around this by using the --search option on the
command line.
For example, running this command will cause the Search All Notes window to
open, and even though you won't be able to edit the search query text, it will
perform your search:
tomboy --search "my search phrase"
That should work whether Tomboy is running or not (if not running, it should
start it).
Now that I have a KDE VM set up, I'm going to see if I can figure out what's
going on here, but I'm a GNOME guy so if it's KDE-specific stuff I may not be
much help.
